#914 NETWORK-WAITING FOR CONTROL OF ORDER:

Posted by WHI on 01 August 2005 - 02:36 PM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

What in the world is this. When you go to process update the inventory everything just stops and it seems MOM waits for all orders to be closed on everyones screens, is that the way it works? My question is why does this message come up?

#878 Would you buy Mom again? I would not!

Posted by WHI on 13 July 2005 - 06:35 AM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

I would buy MOM again. Best bang for the buck that you will find. The learning curve for us has been years but overall we have been happy with the product and service from MOM tech and sales. We still run 4.3 nothing in 5. that appeals to us. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

#856 So Is MOM really PCI Compliant??

If you set MOM up so that users can't see card numbers can they still see the last 4 digets?

#694 Retail location

We bought the POP mod years ago and it was a waist of $. We use our normal MOM if the customers is standing here in front of us or on the phone it makes no difference. We made up a shipping code WI= "walk in" as we call them. Quick print the order and bamm! It's just that simple.

#446 Potential Customer Needs User Reviews

We have a love/hate relationship with our MOM :D Most of this is learning curve and our curve is on its six year. I don't think you can find better for the money. Support when we need it is pretty good for database problems but I think you will do better just by asking questions on this board for day to day use questions. We are not using sitelink. Works great with world ship. Defiantly use authorise.net this was by far the best change the last few years. We are running version 4.3

#351 re-index files

Posted by WHI on 02 December 2004 - 02:11 PM in MOM & FOX Database Issues

We use this funtion all the time and do not really know what is being deleted. We do know that using the re-index seems to unclog MOM. It just works better if you re-index from time to time. I re-index at least once a week.

#211 Invoice Printing

Posted by WHI on 22 September 2004 - 08:27 AM in Invoicing and Printing Issues

I do not use the forms you are talking about. We just use plain paper. This works good for our set up. If those forms are also printing shipping lables at the same time I can see spending the $ if not why not just use plain paper?

#206 Disappearing Stock?

Posted by WHI on 17 September 2004 - 07:29 AM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

We have had this problem too. In the most recent case I can think of we had a composite item on "auto assemble" and then "stay together once assembled". We were doing stock counts on a day we were closed and I happen to put the item on an order but then I deleted it. It was never sold or billed. I found this by running an inventory transaction report. MOM showed a "sale" for the item with my user ID on the day we counted stock. We were closed that day so this "sale" was really just an auto assemble that stayed assembled. The inventory stayed in the composite number.

Use the inventory transaction report to see if you can track this. Good Luck!

#188 Order won't go away

If all the feilds look good no balenced owed etc. Try reseting and quick print the order.

#181 Problems deleting stock items

Posted by WHI on 01 September 2004 - 03:43 PM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

We have found this issues a number of times now. Using DBUwin.exe check the inventory quantities in each of the following files: STOCK, BIN, and INVENTOR
If any are not accurate, correct any errors and pack the files. Then you will be able to delete the inventory and delete the old stock number.

Good luck!

#180 Order won't go away

Posted by WHI on 01 September 2004 - 03:37 PM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

The easy fix when it works (we have had some that will not change the status) is to change the item status to shipped line by line. Save the order and it disappears out of pending shipment. We have had some order that just get stuck. At that point reseting is required. Please let us know what you have to do to solve this.

#157 R&R Reporting

Posted by WHI on 11 August 2004 - 07:33 AM in Report Writing Module

We have been using RR and have developed a number of reports. What do you need? There are some companies that will build reports for you MOM helpers, I think. We have found that after we develop the basic report and use it for a week or two then we go back and organize the info or add something that was overlooked. All in all once you learn how to use it (which will take some time) you will be very happy. Our copy sat here for three years before I hired someone with the skills to use it.

#146 Invoice Printing too wide

Posted by WHI on 04 August 2004 - 09:51 AM in Invoicing and Printing Issues

Hi Chris, we print our invoices landscape style you could try that just to see if it works. We do this for filing purposes. We quick print all orders but I think the same print screen comes up with batch printing. If you hit the setup button on the right you can change a few things about how the invoice prints. One nice thing about landscape printing is you have lots of room on the right side and the bottom of the invoice for hand written notes.
