If you are a user of the ICCAS module (or thinking about becoming one), evaluate carefully. There is some information you may not know.

The ICCAS interface connects to authorize.net for credit card authorization. If you have an existing authorize.net account, you can not use it. You must get a new account through DydaComp.

When you do, you will be charged a monthly fee for gateway access of $25.00 and a PER TRANSACTION fee of .09.

If you set up an authorize.net account through somebody other than Dydacomp you can get significant savings (the "standard' street rate is $15.00 plus .05 per transaction). However, as stated above, this account will not work with MOM.

Why? Very simple. Dydacomp is a reseller for authorize.net. As a reseller, they get some portion of the fees that are collected. One would think Dydacomp would give their own customers a "preferred" rate. Instead, they choose to give them a high rate to increase their own revenue.

Remember to add these fees to the cost of ICCAS if you plan on using it. The purchase price is just the beginning....
