A great idea. An "organization" of MOM users submitting the wish list. Perhaps the decision-makers at MOM would be more attentive. Most of the suggestions for change on MOM's web site aren't of much use to my business. The important (vital) changes we need are probably more difficult to make. Here are my suggestions:
We need the option to make "Drop Ship" items be a "Composite" item. We could then drop ship a full case of product in a variety of colors or sizes, instead of jut a single color. This feature would dramatically increase sales and make money for my company. Also, there is no greater need of improvement for MOM than DHL and FedEx shipping to be integrated into MOM, identical to UPS Compatible Interface. I know from experience that Harvey Soft is not the answer. FedEx shipping is critical for an Internet or mail order business to control shipping costs. Also, It is extremely important to be able to print my invoices at the "Packing Stage" and that all items, both in stock items and drop ship items print on a single piece of paper.

We have been using MOM since 1998. Generally, MOM has been a good investment for my business. I do like the packers workstation and bar coding of items being packed. This feature has saved us money, improved productivity and reduced errors considerably.
MOM support
Generally good. There are some support personnel that will research my problems and follow up. I learned their names, kept notes, and always email the specific person about my issue, asking them to contact me. There are other tech support individuals, who when they pickup my call, I know it would be better to just hang up, dial again and wait on hold, sometimes for quite awhile, hoping one of the really good techs takes my call the second time.

There are better and less expensive alternatives
UPS Compatible Interface
Works flawless. No complaints at all.
FedEx Shipping
Awful, non-existent, a joke. I even purchased HarveySoft and MOM's USI in order to ship via FedEx. It was a waste of money and time. Printing an invoice at the packing stage using MOM and Harvey is impossible, plus numerous other problems.
Drop Shipping
MOM handles drop shipping generally well. Drop shipping is the only way, other than competitive shipping companies (FedEx and DHL) to control our shipping costs. MOM should invest considerable resources to enhancing drop shipping. For example: we need the option to make "Drop Ship" items to be a "Composite" item. We could then drop ship a full case of product in a variety of colors, instead of jut a single color. This feature would dramatically increase sales and make money for my company
Problems on the horizon
DHL shipping is not even being discussed. As a Mail order company, we are at the mercy of UPS. We pay what ever they demand. Excessive fees for address corrections, OS boxes, and on and on. The only way we have to control our shipping costs is to have alternative shipping companies (FedEx and DHL) in order to get UPS to the bargaining table.
Good Luck

I am still using Access 97, but I link copies of Mom's dbf files directly to Access. Most of my reporting is then done through Access.

I have experienced the same problem you describe using an HP 1200 series laser printer. I solved the problem by changing the paper to a custom size. I had to do this at each work station, with both Windows 98 and Xp computers. Start to print an actual MOM invoice, from the MOM print screen click on "Setup", then click "Properties", then "Paper", then click the "Custom" button. A custom paper screen will open. Type a name (ie:MOM) in the Name field, then change the Width to 8.65 inches and click on "Save", before clicking "OK" change the paper size by selecting the custom (MOM) size from the drop down list, then click "OK". Now you should be back to the MOM Print screen. Select Print to print the invoice.
