I don't remember exactly what the problem areas were but it had something to do with kits and breakouts and how they are handled differently. It would have caused too much disruption for our operation to change.

Desibold,
Thanks for the input. All of our items have their own part numbers - and we group things using parent / child relationships on the cart level. I haven't really looked at these types of features (kitting, composite, breakout, etc). If this is the only advantage of MOM over Stone Edge that this forum can come up with - I'll probably be switching fairly soon.

Dydacomp has fixed many of the flaws in MOM 6.0 and this is the last of the major issues. How many of you out there would import stock if the Stock Import Module was designed correctly and 100% functional?

I agree completely with you. I find it unbelievable that MOM does not supply a function to import selling prices and purchasing costs via the import tool. The lack of this 1 feature alone is making me consider switching to another software platform. I waste a lot of time updated vendor pricing.

Hi, Do you know where is the "journal activity report"? Thanks.

Reports -> Accounts Receivable -> Journal Activity Report.

I remember reading once that Stone Edge is based on MS Access

You're right, it is. I'm not technical enough to know why a FoxPro database would be an advantage over an Access one. Here is a comparison of the two database types: http://fox.wikis.com...VFPvsAccess~VFP. I've always thought that these lower level databases were basically the same from a functional stand point - and are basically irrelevant until you step up to Oracle, SQL, MySQL, etc. I'd love to learn why Fox Pro is superior in this application if anyone can share.
