item costs reorder cost is inaccurate

When checking master inventory there is a 'reorder price field'...where does this information come from? On a new item, only one p.o. issued, product not received yet - the reorder cost is very inaccurate. How do I correct it? Can I correct it before the inventory lot is received?

The reorder price field is the supplier cost. When you receive your PO, correct the price to match your invoice and then, when asked, select yes to update your supplier information. That should update everything necessary.
