Hi,
We have a problem with about a hundred duplicate item numbers with sales history. Has anyone found a way to merger this info?

Ex:

Item #1: 100-250
Item #2: 100-2500

Same exact item but when it was entered the first time (item 1) the sku was entered wrong. Now we have 2 items with sales history. Makes it hard to run reports...

Thanks

jwurunner,
You can use dbuwin.exe. Open the items database. Select the Item index order and browse until you locate the items with the wrong item number. Edit the item number on each line. Then exit. Be careful to not change data in other fields.

The next time you run a history, you will see the history is now merged. You will also find that old orders will now show the corrected item number. This will not adjust inventory or modify the inventory history in any way.

Good luck and hopefully you don't have too many lines to edit.
