#2727 Low Levels Problem

Posted by MetabolicsLtd on 09 April 2010 - 08:41 AM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

Try using Bins

We do use bins in each of our warehouses but unfortunately this still won't really solve our problem.

Anyway, I contacted Dydacomp directly because I was sure that we must just have been doing something wrong, it seemed like such a basic request for a warehousing module that I thought we must have a setting slightly wrong somwehere, however they have told me that the warehousing module that they sold us for warehouse stock management doesn't actually have the capability to do warehouse stock management. It seems there is just nothing that can be done about this. They recommended that I add it to a "wishlist" for future versions of MOM. The odd thing about that obviously is that it assumes we'll be buying future versions of MOM!

#2723 Can't Move "Customer and Order Lookup Form"

Posted by MetabolicsLtd on 06 April 2010 - 07:37 AM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

Finally got a call back from Dydacomp today and spoke to someone called Luke who turned out to be REALLY helpfull. I thought I'd supply the solution here in case anyone else should ever experience the same problem.

He sorted a bunch of our other problems too but solved this by using DBUWIN to edit a file called "formpref.dbf", this contained the "left" and "top" values for all the different forms used by all the different users. Somehow the form in question had a negative Ntop value which was placing it off the top of the screen. Resetting this value to "0" repositioned the form in the correct place.

#2720 Low Levels Problem

Posted by MetabolicsLtd on 01 April 2010 - 03:00 AM in General Mail Order Manager Discussion

We are having a problem with our low level settings that I hoped someone out there may be able to help us with.

The problem is that we have 3 different warehouses; one main warehouse (lets call it "HQ") and 2 smaller secondary warehouses. Each of those warehouses may contain varying numbers of the same product.

The two secondary warehouses have a fairly low stock turnover compared to HQ and HQ is the only place from which we dispatch by mail order. The problem we are struggling with arrises when low levels only show up on a global scale rather than a local warehouse scale. As an example, we have "Product X's" low levels set at 10 units. However there may be 6 units in each of the secondary warehouses and none at HQ. We'll then receive an order for Product X only to find that we have none available for dispatch because it hasn't shown up on the low level reports.

Does anyone know how we can get the low levels to show up for individual warehouses rather than as a global level for all warehouses?

I would imagine that most people would want to be able to manage their stock at this level for multiple warehouses so there is probably a simple solution that I am currently unaware of.

I have emailed and telephoned the Dydacomp support people but as usual their apalling service is yet to yield any kind of response. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

#2718 Can't Move "Customer and Order Lookup Form"

And if you select "Cancel" to close the box, it reappears this same was when you lookup again?

Unfortunately yes, regardless of how I try and open/move/close etc the form always appears in the same place. It isn't causing too much of a problem at the moment because the rest of the fields/buttons on the form are still accessible but there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about it so far and its driving me crazy!

Temporarily change your screen resolution in Windows to make it visible.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried this and all that happens is that the form stays in it's relative position.

Anyone got any other ideas?

#2707 Can't Move "Customer and Order Lookup Form"

Hi everybody,

This is my first post on this forum but I'm so glad I found it! It looks like a great resource for a fairly frustrating piece of software!

Although our list of problems with MOM is long, I have one that I hoped somebody might know a quick answer to.

One of our users has somehow ended up with their "Customer and Order Lookup Form" in an unmoveable position. If you see the attatched image you can see how the top of the form in question has moved behind the main button bar of MOM and as such can't be dragged around the screen. I have tried the windows shortcut for moving a form/window (Alt+Space+M) but this doesn't seem to help at all.

Has anyone experienced this problem before or have any idea how we can regain control of this form?

Thanks in advance

Adam
