#78 Google Spidering Dydacomp Servers

Posted by dpn on 19 May 2004 - 01:44 PM in General Sitelink Discussion

My experience is that the googlebot crawls a site home page once a day and the entire site once every 30 days for the first 3 months. If every time the googlebot comes back it sees that lots of pages have been updated and the site seems legit this interval is cut down to the point where they are crawling pages all the time.

Hope that helps,

Dana

#77 Anoyone Tried Froogle?

Posted by dpn on 19 May 2004 - 01:41 PM in General Sitelink Discussion

It works great, once they approve your feed you will be listed. I'm not sure how much extra traffic it yeilds but it must be decient since froogle is now listed as an option on the google home or search page.

The MOM site I have listed in froogle is http://broncograveyard.com/ but I also have a few other sites listed in there. If anyone would like help creating a froogle feed feel free to contact me via PM or email.

What version of MOM are you using?

#28 Moving MOM to new machine

It sounds like you need to run the workstation install from CD which is what sets up those support librarys. I think you can also download the executable from the Dydacomp support website.

Hope that helps!

#21 Anytime, Anywhere Order Status

I can totally understand your frusterations, I have dealt with Dydacomp for 8 years :)

Lets try to keep from bashing them too much here though, we want to try to create a place for people to help each other work out/around MOM & Sitelink related problems without having to pay for costly support.

Thanks,

Dana

#20 Using Sitelink Without the Sitelink Plugin in MOM

Posted by dpn on 22 January 2004 - 10:38 PM in 3rd Party eCommerce Solutions

Do you know if they offer just the windows part of the system so a person could build their own catalog? I'll probably email them about it.

If anyone else has any recommendations I would appriciate hearing about them.

Thanks,

Dana

Has anyone created or can anyone recommend a windows based application to manage the prducts for the website? Currently you have to pay for Sitelink to unlock the Sitelink part of Mail Order Manager.

Thanks,

Dana
