I am having problems deleting some old stock items from our system. The issue seems to be that these particular items have stock on hand which is not assigned to any bin. Any ideas?

Are you getting an error message? If so what is the message. We have many stock items with no bins assigned but I do occasionally get the type of problem you are having. The first thing we always do almost every day is reindex. That seems to clear out some of these problems. You may have to take care of this at the data base level if so MOM techs have been very helpful with that.

Although the original post is pretty old at this point, I just recently found this board and thought I would contribute my 2 cents....

You need to do an inventory adjustment to remove all of the items on hand for the product you are trying to delete. It's ok if you don't have a bin assigned, the problem is that MOM won't let you delete a stock item that still has inventory associated with it.

Hope that helps.

We have found this issues a number of times now. Using DBUwin.exe check the inventory quantities in each of the following files: STOCK, BIN, and INVENTOR
If any are not accurate, correct any errors and pack the files. Then you will be able to delete the inventory and delete the old stock number.

Good luck!
