Hi, my name is Jeff and I'm new to the world of MOM. I just moved to a new state and got hired at a small non-profit that plans to implement MOM in the next couple of weeks. I was hired mostly for my project management skills, focus on process, and IT experience. The problem is that I'm not at all familiar with MOM, eCommerce, or operating a small business and I was, of course, up front about that in my interview.

Though I've worked in IT for a dozen years or so, it's mostly been for large corporations (Fortune 500 up to Fortune 10) in the manufacturing sector. My background is mostly in designing, building, and implementing network and server infrastructure with minimal exposure to database and application development.

I now find myself in an entirely new environment where I have to learn everything from the ground up. This would be OK if time was available for such learning, but there is a schedule that has to be met. The switch is being made from Stone Edge Technologies' Order Manager v3.402 to the current version of MOM. Also, this company was originally running MOM v4.3 before switching to Stone Edge.

I'm feeling rather alone and, for lack of a better word, dumb right now. Could somebody help me out with advice or provide some resources that may accelerate my growth in this area?

Much obliged,
Jeff
