How suitable would you say MOM is for a retail store that wants to run an ecommerce operation in parallel with traditional EPoS-type system?

I've seen that there's an EPoS module available for MOM, and I guess we'd need to use Site Link too for the website.

Are there any businesses out there that have used MOM as the basis of a true multi-channel strategy?
