Well heres my problem, I have MOM running on a local network for a business. All the computers are running XP. The problem is when I install SP2 on any computer MOM spits out this pop-up error :
Microsoft Visual FoxPro - Insufficient Memory
It's very hard to troubleshoot this as there arent any forums that talk about MOM directly, and who wants to pay for tech support when you can do it yourself. So thank you to whomever started this forum as I know it will be helpful to many users, and thanks for any info about my problem.

I do know that there are still some hiccups with SP2, it is possible that this is something that will be fixed soon by MS. Is there anyone out there that is successfully running MOM 3 with XP-SP2?
Make sure to tell all the MOM users you know about this site!

I was pretty leary of SP2 so I disabled Automatic Updates right before SP2 was released on the 10+ computers on our network that run MOM 5.0. After waiting over a month I went ahead and downloaded and installed SP2 on most of these computers without any problems. I did turn off the SP2 Firewall because I was worried it may hinder some programs. All of these machines are already running Norton Antivirus.
Did you ever try using the System Restore after installing SP2? After updating to SP2 at home last week IE would not work and I was unable to connect to any secure sites. I figured it was the SP2 update so I restored my pc using the restore point that was created before the SP2 install. That didn't work either. It turns out that there was an issue with Norton Internet Security. My subscription was up so all I had to do was uninstall it and my troubles were over.
Have you checked your Visual Foxpro driver? Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Date Sources(ODBC)
I am running MOM 5.0 and my driver version is 6.01.8629.01? I doubt that is the problem though if MOM runs fine before the SP2 install.

hey malaize,
I checked my FoxPro driver version and it says 1.00.02.00? Maybe this is the problem? I have tried a rollback which worked on one of the computers on my network. I have noticed though that 2 of my computers that still have SP1 with some of the SP2 updates give me the Insufficient Memory error. Again I am still using MOM 3 so any other info will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hi NCappaZoo,
I think that FoxPro driver version 1.00.02.00 is what my Compaq Presario had installed on it last October (2003) when i received it new. If I remember correctly I had the same error when I would try to access MOM over our network. (my Presario cam with XP Pro) I had to hunt down the driver on Microsofts website.
Hopefully ypf1258 was able to help you out with the updated driver.
Let us know your results.

You may want to upgrade to a newer version of MOM.

Look out for installing workstations while MOM is active and you are using XP SP2
You will corrupt:
foxtools.fll
dbuwin.chm
momhelp.chm
genricpd.app
