We have recently implemented web services written in ASP.Net to update our web site with the stock level taken directly from the MOM database. Orders placed on the web site are immediately imported into MOM without any user interaction.

Our web site is running on a remote server that makes calls to our web services running on a low spec server based in our office that connects to the MOM database server. The MOM database server remains safe behind a firewall and is never exposed to the internet for security reasons.

The web services have now been made available to our retail customers who call them from a range of platforms e.g. Classic ASP, ASP.Net, PHP & Perl.
For more information on how to implement MOM web services please email sales@simplypro.co.uk
