Hey,

Ok! So i've been desperately seeking shipping solutions for my Canada Post system. Dydacomp tells me that they can't help me because there isn't enough interest in Canada (unless I want to dish out 5000 on a custom solution). Does anyone else have any little tricks hidden up their sleeves to deal with Canadian systems etc.

Cheers,

Dave

DISCLAIMER: Always backup your MOMWIN folder before attempting to perform any updates, testing, etc. Once you blast the data away it's gone forever.
My advice is based on my 8 years of experience with MOM and Dydacomp. If you are not comfortable with data manipulation then hire someone who is.

We're a Canadian company as well. Not much you can do. You really can't use MOM to its full potential unless you're in the US. We do our shipping on a completely different system with a paper trail as the only way to connect the two. In Canada, MOM can get the job done, but it could make everyone's job a lot easier if there was a Canadian edition, or a patch to make it more streamlined with Canadian shipping options.

Hey Workuseonly,

I've actually managed to connect our UPS system to the MOM export table via an ODBC connection. At the very least my shipper only has to type the order number into UPS and the address information pops up instantly.

Our Canada Post (Electronic Shipping Tools Desktop version) uses an import file that one of our programmers created.

I couldn't agree more, MOM would be much more valuable in Canada if someone would take the time to integrate the systems a little better.

Cheers,

David

We were looking into upgrading from 4.3 to 5.0, but there does not appear to be an acceptable credit card processing option for Canada and IC Verify cannot be used in 5.0.

Has anyone else looked into this or created a custom solution?

Thanks,
Becky
