You didn't identify which version of MOM you are using. I'm using MOM 5.4.

Did your system print a PO for the drop ship item? If not, the following is probably your problem.

If you have a drop ship item that has two bins, one is a drop ship bin and the other is for stock items. The item could be ordered from the stock bin and that is why it is on backorder.

When your salesperson sells the item, he or she must select the appropriate bin.

In my opinion, the easiest cure is to get rid of the stock bin then all orders for that item will be ordered from the drop ship bin.
If you need to have both, then make sure your salespeople know how to select the bin for dropships.

To get rid of the stock bin, first switch all BO items to the drop ship bin. Then it should be no problem to delete the stock bin.

We are using 5.4 as well. We print a PO every time, but the Orders tab shows the status as "Back Ordered, No Shipment Set" even though the status on the order is OD.

What is the status of the drop shipped item on the order?
The Other Information box should read Drop Ship Item and the Item Status should say something about Drop Ship.

The item status is OD and the Other Information box says Drop Ship Item and has our po number. The Item Status says Drop Ship Ordered. The Orders tab shows the order with a status of Back Ordered, No Shipment Set.

OK, it was worth a shot. I am sure that i can get it fixed by going to MOMs Helpers and paying for customization. I think this program was written to keep Banko in business.
