Hi there,

I am a newbie here, I work for a flower company and we rely on MOM. I have been asked to investigate further into MOM and sort certain things out.

One of my questions is;

Why does stock appear to be back ordered when we know that the stock is available? This normally affects on hold items.

Any information would be great

Thanks
FF

We don't use hold dates so I can't help with that portion of the question. However, check your items in MOM and see if you are using multiple bins. If you are, that may be the problem. If you only have one bin per item, then the problem must be related to the hold.

I am new to MOM so am still learning how everything works, How do I come about this?

Thanks

Look at an item in MOM and select the Inventory Tab. Look for the Bin Preference box and select the down arrow. Hopefully all you will see is the information about one bin with the number of units you have in stock. There will also be a line "Add new bin location" which is used to set up a new bin.

If what I have described is true in your case, then your problem has something to do with the hold dates.

It could be that you are adding inventory while the orders are on hold.

MOM will not change the item status to CM from BO if the order is on Temporary Hold.

If you created an order whilst there was no stock and subsequently got stock in, you have to change the item status to filled.

select the line item and the goto the "ITEM EDITS" menu at the topof the screen. then go to "CHANGE STATUS" and change it to filled.

the status should change from BO (back ordered) to CM (committed) and you can process the order.
