Does anyone have any idea why MOM would suddenly start crawling on several workstations? We're using v5.4

Not every workstation is affected but most are. We haven't changed our network configuration at all. Is there something physical that could be affecting these workstations?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
KJ

Recently we've been experiencing many problems with our workstations that were using Windows 2000 to the point that they would lock up or refuse to load MOM. We found that doing a cold restart solved the problem.

Our XP workstations also have occassional slowdowns. Usually, nothing will solve the problem except to be patient for a few days and the problem will magically disappear! It's giving our IT guy fits!

Well, our server runs Windows Server 2003, all workstations are XP, though some vary between Home and Professional. It's very strange. It took 12 minutes to do a minor stock adjustment this morning. It is really noticable during login. The MOM intro screen stays up sometimes for 30 seconds before bringing you to the look-up screen.

Thanks,
