when i try to launch mom from a workstation, i get this message:

Fatal error: Exception code=C0000005 @ 07/27/07 03:13:44 PM. Error log file: C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\VFP\vfp8err.log

when i click on OK on that message, i get another one:

momwin.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.

i click OK on that as well. if i try to launch mom again, i just go through that same cycle of those 2 messages again.

so now, i'm unable to launch mom on my workstation01. but there's a very strange workaround. i'm able to launch mom from workstation01 IF i go to a different workstation02, open up netmeeting on workstation02 to connect remotely to workstation01. once i get access of workstation01's desktop, i click on mom, and it launches! this is the way we've been launching mom for a week now- via netmeeting.

what has changed from when mom was operating normally? we bought a new server and copied the mom files over. old server was windows 2000 server; new server is windows server 2003.

any help that would lead to a solution would put your name on my will.

We had a similar problem when we made the server conversion. We found that we had to delete all of the desktop MOM shortcuts, remap each computer to the MOM files, and then rebuild the shortcuts. That solved the problem for all of our stations except one. We still haven't solved the problem on that one but its only intermitten so we don't worry about it too much.
