Hello,

Has anyone had any experience deleting skus or attributes of skus in
MOM?

We currently have many items in our MOM database that have a huge # of
color and even size attributes that we no longer use, will never use
again, and have not used for over 3 years. As far as reporting, we
have all applicable data and backups so are not concerned in that
regard.

I contacted Dydacomp and the response was that they do not recommend
deleting skus or attributes due to possible errors when the old order
records with those items on them are accessed and even went as far as
to say it "possibly" could cause corruption in current inventoried
items.... their recommendation was to create new skus which we really don't want to do.

We did, previously (probably about 2 years ago) delete some of our
older sizes and didn't notice any major issues or
ramifications......does anyone have experience with deleting skus in
MOM?

I would be happy for any feedback or info available.

Thank you very much!

Lila

I haven't had any issues in the past by deleting SKUs. Granted, I have never done it on a large scale like you are talking about. My suggestion would be to make a good backup, delete the SKUs, reindex, then do some testing before you go live. That way, if you have any problems, you can restore and move on with life.
