We've been gearing up to import orders into MOM, and in anticipation I recently limited the State fields on our online order form to three characters.

Unfortunately the UK doesn't seem to use such abbreviations, and we have too many UK customers for MOM to be worth dumping them.

Has anyone used MOM to handle orders from the UK?

Thanks for any insight!

Hey,

Good point! You should never have to consider losing a customer demographic because MOM can't handle importing their address requirements.

Have you considered mapping the online codes to a table with your codes that work in MOM. It is a messy fix but that is exactly what I had to do with Canada Post and MOM.

Thanks David.

I had put in the three-character limit to reduce the likelihood of typos & wierd spelling & abbreviation variations, but I suppose I could just process out most of those, dropping periods & spaces & the like, and maybe build an alias file for the rest as they come up. We'll be switching to a dropdown list for the country anyway, so that should at least narrow the possibilities.
