The only way to get this board moving is for more MOM users to see it and start using it. Please take the time to let other MOM users know about this. There is a whole lot of potential here. MOM managment if you are out there you should link this site on your web site. If you have not done so. I belive most MOM users are quality professionals and if you responed properly this is a great oppertunity for you. Let me make that clear, I don't think you will get a bunch of whiners and MOM bashers here so please do what you can to help. End users are always a great source for tech help. As for me I love the MOM program. We have been using it 6-7 years now. We can make inventory do back flips and all kind of tricks, but other areas we are not so good at and that is why we have come here. To help and be helped. Thank you!

Thanks for the post, I do know that the sitelink staff are here every day so they should see the message and hopefully will give us some feedback on what they think.

Currently my only way of bringing in people is with Google adwords and Overture. There is also a fair amount of people coming in from standard searches through the main search engines. Currently we are getting over 400 visitors per month and increasing that number every week.

Does anyone have any other ideas to get people more active?

Thanks,

Dana

I am new to MOM, I have vers. 5.0 and I have not a clue how to use it....I am looking for some companies who use MOM in the South Florida area to possibly hire someone to show me some things....

I am trying to avoid using the high priced tutorials, any ideas?

Hi Dave, Getting started with MOM is easy if you do not need evrything to work perfect from the start. We followed the book and used the help section for learning about the different screens. When we wanted to add starting inventory we told the data base all our part numbers had 1000 in stock. IF you start with the basics the screens will become easy. Set up customers. (we do that on the fly) Set up venders, set up stock items etc. The fun stuff is getting credit card processing and up loads and down loads going. I left that stuff for the computer gurus. What made this easy for us at the start was we only had a few users. 6 years later we still like the program. If you run into any problems related to inventory I might be able to help with that. Good luck!

Hey Dave
Hope you see this post. We have been using MOM now for approx 3 years. We have processed some 50,000 plus orders and have over 3,000 items in our inventory. MOM works pretty well and the support team for MOM is outstanding, I just wish they were there late hours. My advise is just to start with the book and gradually impliment all the parts. We have done this and for the most part it has gone well. Like with most new things there are going to be some growing pains. give me a shout if there is something I can help you with.

Seems like I remember seeing a post at www.webproworld.com last week in the ECommerce forum and someone mentioned MOM as a program for people to try.

Ok, I just found it. Here is a link. Maybe one of you guys that knows a bit more than me about MOM can chime in on this post and let the poster know that MOM isn't all that bad.

Bullshit ! Bullshit ! Bullshit ! I have been using MOM for 15 years and the current version along with the current management at Dydacomp SUCK ! Do not buy this crap.
Bad software. Bad support and now I don't even understand what they are saying. Can it get any worse ? I can list issue after issue most of which have never been resolved.
