Connecting to MOM database

Hi!

We will be creating a site that has a middleware to the MOM application. I would like to know if its possible to connect to the MOM database without going thru the process of importing files.

Heres the scenario
1. a web based application which has a shopping cart
2. a middleware that connects to the database of web based application
3. the MOM application to be able to synchronize with the web based database.
