Figured we could start a "wish list" for new features for M.O.M. We could then submit the list to Dydacomp for review.
1) EDI functionality
2) True FEDEX integration like UPS & USPS
3) Ability to have Paypal as an option
4) New module to allow for 3rd party website integration. (instead of Sitelink, some of us have expensive sites that can't be changed)
5) Better warehouse features. (I.e. better bin control, wireless warehouse, etc, batch tickets by bin)
6) Better customer service features (i.e. open ticket system)
7) More dropship vendor features (ability to import tracking, open status report)
8) Ablility to search by vendor PO, sort by dropship or stocking po, date range on the review screen.
9) Ability to customize pos, invoices, packing lists, etc with different fields.
10) Ability to create PDF's on the fly for emailing/faxing.
11) Ability to merge 2 item numbers into one (including changing history, inventory, etc)
12) Build in fax/email option instead of relying on third party software.
13) Have addresses CASS-certified in realtime.
Feel free to add

We need the option to make "Drop Ship" items be a "Composite" item. We could then drop ship a full case of product in a variety of colors or sizes, instead of jut a single color. This feature would dramatically increase sales and make money for my company. Also, there is no greater need of improvement for MOM than DHL and FedEx shipping to be integrated into MOM, identical to UPS Compatible Interface. I know from experience that Harvey Soft is not the answer. FedEx shipping is critical for an Internet or mail order business to control shipping costs. Also, It is extremely important to be able to print my invoices at the "Packing Stage" and that all items, both in stock items and drop ship items print on a single piece of paper.

Ctrl-X, the Windows shortcut for "Cut", deletes a line item in the MOM order screen. So guess what happens when our users try to cut important text from the custom memo field...
And to add insult to injury, the text doesn't get copied to the clipboard and is lost.

I emailed Dydacomp about changing the keyboard shortcut for deleting a line item and they called me back to get some more information, so hopefully it will actually get changed.

Hey,
WOW! That really sucks. For the last year I have doubted one of our user's comments about line items dissapearing... that explains it.
MEMO TO ALL STAFF -- NO MORE CTRL X!!
Thanks for the great tip!

My advice is based on my 8 years of experience with MOM and Dydacomp. If you are not comfortable with data manipulation then hire someone who is.
