I am a current MOM user, have version 3, yeah I know. Anyhow, I called up Dydacomp to get information on upgrading to the newest version. It is all contingent on them being able to take a flat file I get from Overstock and importing the orders into MOM, then processing and having certain information export into Overstocks file format.
It took them 3 days to get back to me to tell me that they had to ask MOM HELPERS if it could be done. Didn't Dydacomp write the software? Then 2 more days passed and I still didn't hear back from them.
Dydacomp must be making so much money that they don't need to sell another $3000 system. What a total waste of time!

I think the reason they need MOM Helpers to do it is because Dydacomp doesn't handle that type of data conversion; they just provide you with the software. Personally, I think its worth it in the long run to pay MOM Helpers to convert the data to be compatible with MOM.

i have heard that dydacomp is tied up with the sql release anyway. they really don't do data conversions. there are tools to import orders and export invoices in MOM 5.1. the export could even be done with R&R report writer if it is a mix of data.
a 3rd-party MOM consultant is probably the only kind of person that can do the work efficiently -- you'd pay somebody to learn the import/export tool and MOM tables. but it tool is pretty easy to understand, and it isn't that hard for a programmer. right now, dydacomp only has MOM Helpers - which is really limiting.
i'd also search here and the other MOM newsgroup for consultants that could help.
