Does anyone make use of this module?

I used it today for the first time with an export file from one of our site's shopping cart system Miva Merchant. For some reason it does not import the shipping info if the shipping method is USPS Priority Mail. We also had to change the shipping charge 90% of the time because MOM recalculates the shipping when the orders are imported.

Anyone have any good/bad experiences with the import/export? Things to keep an eye on?

thanks,

malaize

Malaize,

We've been using it since day one. I have another post on this forum about it. Please read it and ask anyquestions you have afterwards.

DISCLAIMER: Always backup your MOMWIN folder before attempting to perform any updates, testing, etc. Once you blast the data away it's gone forever.
My advice is based on my 8 years of experience with MOM and Dydacomp. If you are not comfortable with data manipulation then hire someone who is.

Hey David,

I think the shipping info that is not coming in is actually due to the export module we are using in our shopping cart. Has your data always been 'reliable' after importing?

Ever have it not work?

Thanks again,

malaize

Hi Malaize,

When we were testing out the import module we had some confusion because we didn't setup shipping parameters in MOM. If you select the option of using the shipping parameters in MOM than make sure you have your codes and rates setup in advance.

Cheers,

David

We have run Miva (although we're transitioning off it now) and have had several custom modules written for the compiled Miva, including one that deals specificially with exporting an encrypted file from Miva, and importing a decrypted file into Mom. It works perfectly. If you're still having problems, feel free to give me a call and maybe we can work something out.
