I'm trying to create an R & R report of journal transactions within a certain date range. Can anyone tell me if the ORD_DATE field in the Journal.dbf database will return "order dates" or "transaction dates"?

Gus,
I was trying to work on a report to essentially duplicate the A/R report in MOM. I had limited success. Keep me posted on your progress.
ODR_DATE appears to be the transaction date. I just check an order that was created back in November and had been invoiced on Dec 7, 2004. The date in the journal table under the ODR_DATE column was the DEC 7 2004.
I hope you have more luck with this report than I had.
For bonus points try adding a running total on your report. That was the stumper for me due to the way mom records the transactions.
Cheers,
David

DISCLAIMER: Always backup your MOMWIN folder before attempting to perform any updates, testing, etc. Once you blast the data away it's gone forever.
My advice is based on my 8 years of experience with MOM and Dydacomp. If you are not comfortable with data manipulation then hire someone who is.

I am also looking for a way to duplicate this report with the added functionality of a DAILY TOTAL - Why the standard report would not sum a DAILY total is beyond me. Running totals are fine, but would like to see the daily totals as well. Plus have the ability to generate a report BEFORE anything actually gets posted - a Trial Balance if you will.
I did sort of get the functionality I need by creating a report off the GLTRANS file, of course this is AFTER the posting has been made, but I can run a quick print of daily totals with or without each account code detail.
