item.dbf corrupted .. copy/zap/append How do I copy/zap/append?

I have MOM 5.4. Log in this AM and I get this message: Table Items.DBF has become corrupted. The table will need to be repaired before using again. To correct this, you need to open the file in DBUWIN and perform a copy/zap/append.

I performed a copy/zap and I have the zap file on my hard drive. How do I append, and then what.

Please help as I am not a technical person who is familiar with this step. Thank you.
